Tustins would figure prominently in the firm for nearly 120 years.






Septimus P. TustinSeptimus Paul Tustin (1847-1921) was one of the four principal assistants who purchased the assets of the firm from Martenet's widow and continued the business after 1892. He was graduated from City College in 1865 and associated himself with Mr. Martenet in 1868.

He was placed in responsible charge of field work in 1870 and ran unsuccessfully in 1897 for the office of City Surveyor.

He died at his desk on November 18, 1921 of heart failure, aged 74. [See Baltimore City Death Certificate D-58737.]
