Beginning with an approximate alignment, our staff can identify the properties to be affected, compile a preliminary mosaic of those properties, and conduct field surveys establishing the exact impacts of the proposed takings. We can then conduct research into the pre-existing property interests that will have to be addressed in the takings. Lastly we can prepare acquisiton plats and surveys for the takings themselves and provide construction support during the installation phase of the project.
Sometimes these projects cross areas with extremely complicated title and survey histories--for instance ancient street beds or former railroad beds. We have deep expertise in addressing these sorts of issues and look forward to assisting you with your project.
